Creative Emajinations puts a spotlight on gun violence and focuses on keeping Kansas City youth safe and inspired

KSHB 41 places a spotlight on Creative Emajinations for being a community change agent for the youth of Kansas City, MO. Although Kansas City ended the year with record highs for homicides, many are still hopeful that this epidemic of mass gun violence to be turned around. Ophelia Brinkley, founder of Creative Emajinations, believes that the solution lies in supporting and motivating the youth of metro Kansas City by keeping them safe, engaged, and active. Creative Emajinations host is 1st Back to School event to help local students

Creative Emajinations hosted its 1st "Back to School We Go" event at the Blackbox Theatre with a host of volunteers, individuals and business supporters to help over 40 pre-registered families receive a backpack filled with supplies, fun books and period products for women and young girls. Volunteers who help give their time back to our organization help deliver backpacks to  families that couldn't make it to us 2 families also received bed/bedding supplies from our partners Fox4LoveFund.
